Evaluation

I created a website for my Final Major Project that includes images inspired by the short stories in the book Struwwelpeter by Heinrich Hoffmann. My final major project has been a challenging personal journey which has led to me learning many new things about myself and my capabilities as well as learning new skills that I can take with me into my future career. It has allowed me to highlight and improve on my strengths and decipher my weaknesses which I have tried to improve throughout the project and will continue to do so after the project finishes. After completing the proposal for my project in December I had doubts over whether it was the right project for me to undertake and whether I would be able to achieve the outcome to the standard I desired. 300 Word Project Introduction

My Final Major Project is based on the 19 th century book of short stories called Struwwelpeter by German author Heinrich Hoffmann. The stories are mainly based on different children and animals who misbehave and as a result get punished for their actions. Many of the stories are designed to scare children so that instead of misbehaving they do what their parents tell them to. The children in the stories have characteristics common to many children such as sucking their thumbs, not wanting to wash, stealing and bullying other children. I have created images inspired by these stories but with adults portraying the characters in the stories to show that people often take characteristics from childhood into adulthood and that people’s actions and their actions of others from the past affect how people are in the future.
